01Who we are
MOKU Digital ("MOKU", "we", "us") is a website design, development and digital systems studio based in Sydney, New South Wales. We operate mokudigital.com and the staging preview of our site. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
02What we collect
- Enquiry details you share through our contact form: name, email, phone number, business name, what you need, project context, approximate monthly revenue range, location and preferred timing.
- Messages you send to us directly.
- If you opt in to an AI callback, the call recording, transcript, call outcome and basic usage or billing details associated with that call.
- Basic technical data from visits, such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed and time of visit, recorded in server logs for security and reliability.
We do not collect payment details through this website, and we ask that you never send passwords, API keys or other access credentials through forms.
03How we use it
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, prepare proposals, deliver and support the services you engage us for, keep business records, meet legal obligations, and understand and improve our website. We don't sell personal information, and we don't add you to marketing lists without a clear opt-in.
If you separately opt in to an AI callback, MOKU’s AI assistant may call the number you provide to discuss your enquiry, understand the project and agree a next step. The assistant identifies itself as AI. The call may be recorded and transcribed, and you can ask it to stop at any time. We attach the outcome and transcript to your enquiry record so our team can follow up. Callback consent is optional and is not bundled with general enquiry consent.
Where AI tools help us work, your material is used only to respond to your enquiry or complete the work we have agreed with you. We do not use your enquiry or call material to train our own models.
04Who we share with
Only service providers who help us operate, such as hosting, customer relationship management, telecommunications, AI voice processing, email delivery and form routing providers, and only to the extent necessary to run our business, subject to their applicable privacy and security terms. We may also share information when required by law, with your consent, or with a professional adviser as part of a business restructure, in which case this policy continues to apply.
05Cookies and analytics
This staging preview uses no analytics beyond browser storage needed for basic function. Before public launch, if we add analytics or similar tools, we will document them here, including the third parties involved.
06Where information is stored
We use a cloud provider with encrypted storage at rest and in transit, and vetted third-party systems. Some providers support their infrastructure or teams overseas. Where that occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information receives equivalent protection.
07Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures, including limiting access to people who need it for their work. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, so please don't include secrets in forms or emails.
08Retention
We keep enquiry and project information only as long as needed to respond, deliver services, meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. After that, it is deleted or de-identified.
09Your rights
You can ask for access to personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to us or to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
10Notifiable data breaches
If an eligible data breach occurs, we will assess and contain it, then notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by law.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
